Having spent 7 years as an exec with the Vancouver Dodgeball League, Victoria made a natural transition to be a part of the International Dodgeball Association in 2011. She was a part of the organizing team in launching the debut of the JDRF Dodgeball Open in 2012 and have continued to lead the 2nd annual event this year. In addition to managing this charity event, she also assists the start up of new dodgeball communities globally and provides operational support to these leagues.
As a proven event organizer, Nadine is the obvious candidate to oversee our first ever summer pub night under the JDRF Annual event. Having spent the last few years applying her skills and experience in planning all logistics and activities for VDL’s “legendary” pub nights (also known as one of the most stressfuls event to organize), Nadine has dedicated her talent in ensuring that everyone will have a fun and high energy experience at this summer.
The Youth Division is a brand new idea for the 2013 JDRF Dodgeball Open. Adrian stepped up confidently to take on the leadership role for this and he is doing an amazing job leading his team, making great progress to setup for the best experience for the youths this year. Back in 2012, Adrian was one of our lead photographers for the event and was responsible for the photo gallery. He currently serves as the Website Manager for the Vancouver Dodgeball League.
Sabrina joined our 2013 team this year based on a special referral. Her background and experience in community involvement and youth sports and recreation are assets to our team for the Youth Division. Sabrina is a reliable and dedicated individual with many qualities that contribute greatly to the JDRF Dodgeball Open event. Currently Sabrina is the lead Tournament Manager for the Thrifty Food’s New Westminster Youth Tournament, another upcoming International Dodgeball Association initiative.
Keith is one of the key individuals who spearheaded the birth of the JDRF Dodgeball Open. Having served as the Marketing Manager in 2012 and continuing his role in 2013, Keith contributed greatly towards the entire scope of the event. He successfully secured many important sponsors and was instrumental to the overall success of the 2012 event last year. Keith currently serves as the Executive Director for the International Dodgeball Association, and is also a Board member for the Vancouver Dodgeball League Society.
Kaitlin contributed quietly in the background of sponsorship in 2012 and took on the role as the Sponsorship Manager for the 2013 event. Together with her team in sponsorship, they have successfully developed many relationships with local companies to gain support for the JDRF Dodgeball Open event. Kaitlin offers a level of dedication and drive that makes her an invaluable asset to the team. She currently serves as a league operations coordinator with the Vancouver Dodgeball League.
As the JDRF Dodgeball Open’s official designer, Angie was the creative behind the JDRF “headband” logo and the official event t-shirt design in 2012. Angie has generously contributed her skills and talent toward this event not only as a designer but also as a photographer and assist in marketing and promotions. Angie currently holds the role of Marcom Designer for the Vancouver Dodgeaball League.
