This July, we are very excited to be hosting our second annual dodgeball tournament to raise money for juvenile
diabetes. With all proceeds going towards the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the International
Dodgeball Association (IDA) and the BC Professional Firefighters’ Association are proud to present the second
annual JDRF Annual Dodgeball Open and we’d love your involvement and support!

Juvenile diabetes is the leading cause of life-threatening and debilitating complications in children and young
adults. This disease is not preventable and places over 300,000 Canadians at risk of seizures, comas, blindness,
kidney diseases, heart diseases, amputations, and premature death.

How can you help? There are several ways:
Provide sponsorship for the tournament: get exposure and access to our unique demographic with your name
and logo on our courts and website! You have the opportunity to secure a category exclusive sponsorship with
annual first right of refusal. What’s more, companies that sponsor at the Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels receive
a complimentary team spot plus marketing opportunities at the tournament!

Check out our Sponsorship Package HERE

Form your own company team: dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge with your fellow employees at the tournament!
It’s guaranteed to be lots of fun!

You are also welcome to make a corporate donation directly to the JDRF by visiting http://bit.ly/Wz5P8U

The dodgeball tournament will be held July 27 & 28, 2013 at the Richmond Olympic Oval.
Last year’s tournament raised more than $5,000 for the JDRF thanks to a combination of player registration fees,
spectator donations, and contributions from our generous sponsors. Confirmed media sponsors for 2013 include
the Georgia Straight, CTV and The Beat 94.5.

Scientists say it is very possible to find a cure for juvenile diabetes within the next ten years. Help us contribute to JDRF’s mission of discovering, developing, and delivering advances that cure and better treat this illness. Children and young adults are living longer than ever with a better quality of life and management tools.
Thank you for your consideration and generosity; your support could put a smile on a child’s face as they live to
see another day!

Sincerely,

International Dodgeball Association
